He's back

Mister Metaphor stroke again. Everyone who watched more Kol-Belov movies than this one will have noticed, that its not just random screwed up stuff sewed together. Every movie ist indeed well planned and hides a story, a picture and things like this behind cryptic motion pictures. The biggest pleasure in watching these is, one by one, decrypting the video, searching for the hidden "message". The results may vary pretty much. but after all art is not what it wants to tell you, but what you read out of it.

An overall little-over-average movie

I watched this animation with mixed feelings:
For the pros the length compared to the size was amazing. There must have been quite some work in there compared to other sprite animation standards, and it never really got boring. A bunch of jokes were pretty entertaining and, oh jesus, the Kung Lao dancing scene was extremely well done, you apparently took the maximum out of the sprites.
For the cons, well, the actual "quality" of the movie lacked from time to time. missing music, missing sound, that had an impact on the overall ambience. Some jokes, especially at the beginning, were roadkill-flat and immature (but thats a matter of taste, though).
All pros and cons put together, its an little-over-average movie, doesnt deserve top rating, but most definitely deserves to stay (front page is alright with me as well)

There are so many unique ways of displaying violence...

The Action Violence, coming with rocky music, guns, swords or fists... wildly and swift...
The Comedic Violence, usually without display of lots of blood and gore...
The abstract Violence, as seen in salad fingers, embedded in a surreal scenario, creepy enough, yet not able to be taken seriously
The Pure Violence, ...no plot, nothing around, just violence... duh..

and finally, horror Violence, dark, creepy and scaring... enveloping us with a feeling of insecurity as we follow the screen, letting us being taken deeper into the darkness...

...and this was some sweet horror violence to be seen, ah-whee!

People, we see a real monumental piece of flash here. Excellent graphics, nice plot, lovely characters, perfect choice of music... everything fits right in where it belongs. totally, like, excuses the extreme file size. can't wait for the next episode to come, sure we'll see it on the front page when the time has come

The graphic style, as already seen partially in coffee break, fits the atmosphere of your movies lot better. true improvement... however, the story is a little bit lacky... (is lacky actually a real word?)
